The
term, High Speed Packet Access (HSPA) was adopted by the UMTS Forum when
refering to improvements to the UMTS Radio Interface in Releases 5 and
6 of the 3GPP (3rd Generation Partnership Project) standards. HSPA refers
to improvements made to the UMTS downlink, High Speed Downlink Packet
Access (HSDPA) and the uplink, High Speed Uplink Packet Access (HSUPA),
also known as Enhanced Dedicated CHannel (E-DCH).
Building
on our experience with GSM & 3G test, we are the first company to
offer a full suite of test instruments for accurately analysing 3.5G High
Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) and High Speed Uplink Packet Access
(HSUPA) devices, user equipment (UE) and networks.
We realised the potential of HSPA more than three years ago, and began
to deploy the technology in 2002 with HSDPA measurement software for the
MS8608A/MS8609A Digital Mobile Radio Transmitter Testers. Our partnerships
with global telecom market leaders, and active participation with industry
standards organisations has now produced a full range of test and measurement
solutions being used by HSDPA equipment and chipset manufacturers, as
well as by several of the world's major service providers to meet their
announced goals of offering HSPA services..
